It is with genuine happiness that I would like to announce that my sculpture, "Reaction Time - The Lizard and the Roadrunner," has been juried into the National Sculpture Society 84th Annual Awards Exhibition. 986 works were submitted for review and 48 sculptures were selected to be displayed at the Brookgreen Gardens, Pawleys Island, South Carolina. What an incredible honor and pleasure it is to be returning to the Brookgreen Gardens once again this year for the National Awards Exhibition! - JDW

"Reaction Time - The Lizard and the Roadrunner, stands as a metaphorical exploration of the complexities of awkwardness and balance occurring at pivotal moments in the struggle for existence. Further, it seeks to speak to our own very human challenge of navigating directional polarization in a society marked by ever increasing velocity, dynamic expectation and change. " JDW

National Sculpture Society 84th Annual Awards Exhibition
"The annual juried exhibition of the National Sculpture Society, the oldest professional organization of sculptors in America, presents the work of masters alongside rising stars in American sculpture. Fourteen awards are presented by the Society along with the popular People’s Choice Award, determined by the votes of visitors to Brookgreen Gardens*
